as with all 3rd place matches in intl tourney you have to nail the over. posted the stats last year with the u20 tourney and holds true with the broads as well.helps that neither team is playing any defense and that canada's striker is trying to stay ahead of Wambach for all-time goals

Canada (w) o2.5 -135

i doubt fifa will suspend anyone...but i'd hold off til it becomes official...sinclair and tancredi both could be suspended. They scored all but 1 goal i think for canada so both missing could make it very hard to score vs france. France could net 3 though as Canada must be exhausted after the stolen victory.

RT- Any thoughts on the US Open Cup. I attended the semi-final in Philly and KC was all over the Union...pressuring all over the field. I was going to be all over them for this home quest for the Cup, but the injury to Collin and some real trouble creating chances since that game have me worried. Sigi has Seattle playing really well and I don't think there will be a let down after the Galaxy match since this will be their fourth straight Cup with an away win....still- I like Sporting at home.

DS- No Doubt the Canuck women were shafted by the Delay call on the GK, but that was all on the ref not on the US ladies. I do think the second touch on the free kick was a handball. I sure would be rooting for Canada if they had advanced. They showed great heart and will hopefully get the bronze tomorrow.

Go USA!

yeah, i've wavered back and forth on this one. seattle not totally convincing despite the bitch making of LA and KC doing nothing offensively so I'm leaning under 2.5 -140. It would be a sure play if game started an hour or 90 min earlier as the temps would be 95 or so at K. But then you see that seattle have scored 2 goals on all 3 visits to KC and that hurts over thoughts. Initially liked KC at home on the pk line (or -1/4 at + money) but the collin injury from AS-game is rough and not sure how they'll defend rosales. game is a tossup imo

interesting stat...seattle 6-1-0 L7 vs SKC with 4 winners in 89th or later

gobucks - the main issue is the never been called in 12 year delay of the game non-yellow card indirect free kick. But the ball hit her on the hand that was in her chest....not sure how to avoid that from a yard away...ball to hand not hand to ball. Two very unproffesional calls in 3 mins...I know Canada should have been red carded but at the same time it looks like a USA player put her arm out in the box and zero calls...so the non-calls went pretty much both ways minus the 3rd goal BS. I don't believe in any conspiracies except in eastern europe, italy and most African teams in WC. (i guess i do believe in them) but i do think refs consciously know which side would create more of a stink if she/he got it wrong. Thats why Man U gets 97 penalities a season and 13 mins of stoppage time after every 90 mins if they are down by 1 or tied. It's the way soccer and most sports work....had it been a hand ball for reals and she didnt call it the USA and world media would have been all over her. All the attention was about the comments after the match and very little, outside of Canada, on the actual piss poor calls. Certainly things would have been different had she not called the penalty.

Oh well - we are good at winning bronzes so hopefully they can pull it out but france owns us pretty well so i don't know...i hoping for 3 goals for rolltide esp for highjacking his thread. :)

awful first half hour. these games are always played to go all out and win but these broads are playing like they get to share a bronze if 0-0 FT. really no interest at all out there

I think they were worn out from tough semifinal defeats...Glad Canada won. Might be a precursor to a cagey final later today- looking at the under there.

just saw the score now. can't believe they won as they were completely inept and pathetic. i turned it off at 58' mark and France had 16-2 shots edge and hit two posts and a crossbar. how the f**k did canada win?

France was all over them the rest of the game, almost impossible they did not score

Canada got a goal 92nd minute out of nowhere
